Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh and warm welcome to all.
On behalf of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (MOFAS), it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 1st MOFAS Annual Scientific Meeting 2026, held in conjunction with the SICOT Foot & Ankle Regional Meeting 2026, from 29th July to 1st August 2026 at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel.
This inaugural meeting represents an important milestone for MOFAS and for the wider foot and ankle community in our region. It provides a timely platform to strengthen clinical excellence and regional partnership, while addressing evolving challenges and opportunities in orthopaedic foot and ankle care. Guided by our theme, "Precision Foot & Ankle Care in a Diverse Region: Innovation, Outcomes & Collaboration," we aim to highlight how science, technology, and shared expertise can translate into better decision-making, measurable outcomes, and improved patient mobility. Our tagline, "Precision Today, Mobility Tomorrow," reflects our commitment to delivering care that is not only advanced, but meaningful and sustainable for the patients we serve.
We have curated a dynamic programme designed to support both daily practice and future-ready development - featuring evidence-based updates, practical insights, and thought-provoking discussions across a range of subspecialty topics. Beyond the scientific content, the meeting is also an opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange perspectives, and build enduring collaborations across institutions and borders.
We also acknowledge, with appreciation, the support of our sponsors and industry partners. Their contribution helps to broaden educational access and supports innovation in a manner aligned with professional integrity and patient benefit. We look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership that supports the advancement of foot and ankle care.
Whether you are joining as a surgeon, clinician, allied health professional, researcher, or trainee, we warmly invite you to participate fully - engage in the sessions, share your experiences, and take part in the collegial exchange that defines a meaningful scientific meeting. I am confident that this combined meeting will be both intellectually rewarding and professionally enriching, and that it will serve as a strong foundation for MOFAS meetings in the years ahead.
Thank you for your support, and I look forward to welcoming you personally in Putrajaya.
Professor Dr Mohd Yazid Bin Bajuri
President, Malaysian Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (MOFAS)
Organising Chairperson, 1st MOFAS ASM 2026
Scientific Chairperson, 1st MOFAS ASM 2026
On behalf of the Scientific Committee, it is my privilege to welcome you to the 1st MOFAS Annual Scientific Meeting 2026, held in conjunction with the SICOT Foot & Ankle Regional Meeting 2026, from 29 July to 1 August 2026 at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel.
The scientific programme has been thoughtfully developed to reflect the meeting theme, "Precision Foot & Ankle Care in a Diverse Region: Innovation, Outcomes & Collaboration." In an era where practice is increasingly guided by data, technology, and outcome measures, "precision" is defined not only by surgical accuracy, but by appropriate patient selection, evidence-based decision-making, reproducible techniques, and multidisciplinary care pathways. This meeting aims to bridge current evidence with practical application across varied healthcare settings and patient populations within our region.
We are honoured to host a distinguished faculty comprising local and international experts who will share their experience, insights, and evolving perspectives. The programme is designed to be balanced and clinically relevant—featuring state-of-the-art updates, technique-focused sessions, case-based discussions, and opportunities for meaningful dialogue. Importantly, it also creates space for critical appraisal of established practices, discussion of controversies, and examination of emerging innovations that may shape the future of foot and ankle care.
A key priority of this meeting is to support learning across all levels of experience. Whether you are a seasoned surgeon, clinician, allied health professional, researcher, or trainee, we encourage you to engage actively, ask questions, and contribute to the exchange of knowledge. We also warmly welcome abstract and e-poster submissions, as they represent the vitality of research and the continuous pursuit of better outcomes for our patients.
We hope you will find the scientific content valuable, inspiring, and immediately applicable in your practice. Thank you for your participation and support, and I look forward to welcoming you to Putrajaya for a stimulating and rewarding scientific meeting.
